As the next Primavera Sound festival will be in 2019, the line-up has not yet been confirmed, but past events have seen the likes of Queens Of Stone Age, Kendrick Lamar, Public Enemy, Franz Ferdinand, Blur, Wu-Tang Clan, and Bon Iver. It’s headliners like those that create an abundance of energy and an intensely passionate atmosphere. The festivals prime focus is on rock, pop, and dance and the team behind it continuously generates a diverse line-up for all ages to appreciate. 2001 was the first Primavera Sound and since the first ever launch its expansion has been rapid.
2010 was the year that Primavera Pro was introduced to the festival. This fixture was specifically created as a kind of convention for all musical professionals. It now has a respected reputation amongst people working within the music industry and offers the chance to participate in showcases, talks, workshops, meetings, and conferences.
Throughout the evening the Primavera Pro stage bursts into life with a range of performances from international newcomers and up and coming artists. If you’re in the industry, new to the industry, or wanting to enter the industry, this event is where you need to be.
‘Bringing innovative new talent in beautiful Barcelona’
As the ever-continuous expansion of Primavera Sound develops there is also a sister festival located in Porto, Portugal. This festival usually happens about a week after the main Barcelona event but is just as popular and just as fun. Attending the Nos Primavera Sound event you can still expect the same big names and the same passionate atmosphere.
Primavera Sound is a valued name in the music industry and its events are often highlights of the year. As a spectator, you can enjoy the vast range of beats, vocals, instruments, and vibes that differ from artist to artist. Get wrapped up in the ever growing passion and enthusiasm for music and eat like Spanish royalty from the pop-up restaurants and food trucks that are spread around the venue.
Barcelona’s airport El Prat is just 20km from the city center where regular public transport is available from just 5euro. The festival is located at Parc Del Forum which can be reached via shuttle bus, tram, metro, taxi, or even bicycle. All forms of public transport run throughout the day and evening with the shuttle bus also operating at night and into the early hours. Parc Del Forum is reachable within minutes from the city center.
The next Primavera Sound festival is set for Thursday the 30th of May 2019 and will run until Saturday the1st of June 2019. Ticket costs usually increase in price the later that you buy them. Starting prices for the full weekend tickets are €150 per person rising to €180 per person at a later date. VIP tickets average from €250 and €400. The VIP tickets will grant you access to all VIP areas and enable you first choice for gigs held in limited capacity areas.
