Moonrise Festival 2019: Get ready to Blast Off! 

Moonrise Festival is an annual music festival that takes place in Baltimore, Maryland. Since it’s inception in 2014, the festival has grown to become one of the biggest summer dance festivals in the Northeast United States. Each year, the festival welcomes more than 30,000 visitors from across the country and abroad; to celebrate some of the world’s best and more diverse music.

Moonrise Lineup 2019

This year’s lineup features an absolutely stacked bill of talent. The Stellar Stage is known for showcasing some of the best artists in the world; and will be headlined by Alan Walker, Illenium, KSHMR, Nghtmre + Slander, R3hab, Seven Lions Slushii, Tiesto and Yellow Claw. The Lunar Stage hosts exclusive live acts and special production performances; and will welcome 21 Savage, Big Giantic, Blackbear, Excision, Gryffin, Jai Wolf, San Holo and Zhu. The Solar Tent is every bass lover’s paradise and will be headlined by 12th Planet, Boogie T, Dirt Monkey, Ganga White Night, Infected Mushroom, Space Jesus and more. Finally, the Celestial Garden will be home to all things house and techno; featuring AC Slater, Justin Martin, EDX, i_o, Spencer Brown and more.

How to get around Baltimore

The nearest major airport is Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marhsall Airport; located 15 minutes south of the city centre and 30 minutes south of the festival grounds. The easiest way to get into the city centre is via the Northeast Regional train, which departs from BWI Airport Rail Station. The festival is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Parking is available on site and passes must be purchased in advance. You can purchase a single day or weekend parking passes directly through the festival website. You can also travel to and from the festival via public transport, taking the train to Mondawmin Station, followed by bus route 91 and a short walk.

Things to do in Baltimore

The city of Baltimore features a wide variety of things to see and do. One of the city’s main attractions is Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the classic home of Baltimore Baseball. The city also features a number of popular museums and exhibits, including the Walters Art Museum, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Maryland Science Centre and the National Aquarium.

Located in the heat of the city, you can also find The Gallery, a bustling harbour front market place featuring dining and entertainment options, shopping complexes and more. Other popular attractions include Federal Hill Park, Lexington Market and the Top of the World Observation deck.
