Miami Carnival: Miami’s Hottest Music Festival

Miami Carnival Event Schedule

The Miami Carnival takes place from March 5-13, 2022. The Carnaval on the Mile is a 2-day event on March 5 and 6 while the Calle Ocho Music Festival is on the following weekend, on March 13.

Things to do in Miami

Miami’s nightlife is legendary around the world, and if you like dancing, even better! There’s no better way to immerse yourself in the Latin culture of Miami than by getting down and dirty on the dance floor. Choose from the dozens of plush rooftop bars, craft beer breweries, luxurious nightclubs, and cozy lounges.

Treat yourself to Cuban delights such as arroz con pollo, moros, croquetas, ropa vieja, and lechon.

Check out the insane murals at the Wynwood Walls, the only outdoor art park in Miami. Chill out at the Bill Bags Cape Florida State Park, a secluded 400-acre park with picnic tables, beach access, watersports rentals, and bike trails.

Stop by the Miami Design District for some awesome shopping, incredible architecture, and art. When the weather’s too hot, take a tip at the Venetian Pool, easily the most beautiful swimming pool in the entire world.

Miami has hundreds of hotels, but to make the most of the Miami Carnival, check out the lodging options in Little Havana. Staying in this area will save you time and money on transportation.

Sonder is a nice aparthotel in the area with self-catering apartments. If you prefer a hotel check out the Life House with its amazing views from the rooftop. It is a hip and small design hotel.

How to get around 

If you plan on exploring all of Miami, the best way to get around is to rent a car. The neighborhoods in town are spread out. Uber is another option too.

Trolleys are a free way of getting around, but they aren’t that punctual. Other transportation options include Metromover, Metrorail, and bus.
