Machac Festival is an annual open-air music festival that takes place in Doksy in the Czech Republic. Since its origin, the festival has grown to become the biggest open-air music festival in the country! The festival feature two days of dance music with foreign headliners and leading Czech DJs.

This year’s edition of Machac Festival will welcome a number of popular headlining acts, as well as a range of local and up and coming talent. Headlining the 19th edition will be Aussie DJ and musician Timmy Trumpet, and Dutch DJ and producer Fedde Le Grand. Also joining the international acts will be Coone, Zonderling, KhoMha, KAAZE, Kaiserdisco, Christian Smith, Bruno Martini, and Todd Helder. There will also be a wide range of local talent, including the likes of Sytx & Leemac, SNBM, Niko W, Ludwig, Sashe Ven and many more.

Locate just outside the Czech capital of Prague, the nearest major airport is Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague, which is around 80 minutes south of Doksy. Upon arrival, you can take the airport express bus directly to Prague’s main train station. You can also travel to the city center by bus on routes 119,100 or 179. From there, you can take a train to Doksy Station. The city of Doksy is quite small and everything is within walking distance. Taxis are also readily available throughout the city making it easy to get around.

Known as a popular summer holiday destination, the town lies on the shores of Lake Macha and offers a range of stunning natural attractions. One of the most popular attractions is State Castle Bezdez, a 13th-century gothic castle, and tower, located on top of a hill with panoramic views of the area. Another popular historical attraction is Houska Castle, a clifftop castle rumored to be built ‘atop the gates of hell’! Nearby, you can also find Kokorinsko, a nature preserve featuring a castle, protected landscapes, and a waterfall.
