Lovebox Festival 2019 Gunnersbury Park, Gunnersbury Park, London W3 8LQ, UK London United KingdomIt all started in 2002 on an average, probably wet and windy London night where a club in Tottenham court road hosted a Lovebox music event. 16 years later Lovebox has majorly outgrown the club in which it all started and has now expanded its music sets into a full blown 2-day festival. Unlike most festivals that run over the course of a few days, Lovebox does not have any onsite camping available however, there are countless nearby hotels and hostels.
This year Lovebox Festival announced its move and will hold the festival for the first time in Gunnersbury Park, London, UK. As they prepare for yet another majorly successful weekend event you can be sure they’re going to pull out all the stops. A sneak peek into 2018’s line-up shows Skepta, SZA, N.E.R.D, Childish Gambino, Wu-Tang-Clan, Annie Mac, Diplo, Bonobo, and as always, many, many more.
Ok, let’s talk food! Lovebox has the biggest and fanciest food selection I think any festival has on earth. Even if the music isn’t to your tasting the food definitely will be and that alone is worth buying a ticket. There is popdogs, spaghetti, sushi, pizza, chunky chips, Texas burgers, ravioli, a duck rotisserie, churros, tacos, and paella – just to name a few. There is so much choice you will want to fill your backpack up for later. Some of the food stalls that will be attending Lovebox Festival include Saucy Chip, Wolf And Guzzle, Guasacaca, Roti Pan Kitchen, Roaming Giraffe Donuts, Mexibros, Raclette Brothers, The Hippy Chippy, Yorkshire Burrito, Tiger Bites, Le Bab, and Crabbieshack. With such an assortment of food this festival certainly won’t smell like your average festival of sweat, stench, and filth.
‘Share the Lovebox love in London’
Alcohol! To wash down all that scrumptious food Lovebox has a range of bars inside the festival. For that reason, Lovebox does not permit alcohol being brought onto the site but there are water stations throughout the grounds. There are specialized bars dotted around the park including Corona Sunsets, Smirnoff Bar, The Rioja Wine Terrace, Kopparberg outsider, and The Temple Of Doom Bar – Sharps Brewery. So much food and so much alcohol, just remember to make use of the water stations and stay hydrated.
London is very accessible with the underground, overground, trams, buses, cabs, and bicycles you will make it one way or another.
Lovebox will be situated in Hounslow where public transport from all over London arrives and departs every 5 minutes. Since London is the capital there are regular public transport routes from all over the country.
Located at Gunnersbury Park in London, this year’s Lovebox Festival is on Friday the 13th of July 2018 and Saturday the 14th of July 2018. Ticket prices start from £65 per day and under 18s are welcome with adult supervision. Doors open from 2 pm on the Friday and 12 pm – Midday on Saturday.
Entrance closes at 8 pm on both Friday and Saturday, so make sure you are there well before and you will not be able to re-enter if you leave before the festival finishes on either day. This is London and the security have a tough enough job as it is guys.
There are many choices of accommodation right on the doorstep of the festival from guest houses, quaint B&Bs, holiday inns, and luxurious hotels. Because Lovebox is a fairly large festival and because London is a capital city, the hotels in the area can be quite expensive for the days of the festival.
If you are looking for a cheaper option, it’s better to stay further away from Gunnersbury Park and since the transportation around London is pretty efficient getting to the festival shouldn’t make much of a difference.

As with any capital city, London has a huge amount of things to see and do. If you want to splash some cash head to oxford street for an amazing shopping experience, where all the stores appear to have taken steroids compared to the ones found in the rest of the UK. Take a spin on the London Eye and get a fantastic view of the Thames and London from above.
Just over the bridge from the eye is the Big Ben so you absolutely have to take a snap in front of it. Madame Tussauds wax museum is a big hit with most tourists as you can take selfies with all your favorite celebs and no one would know they weren’t actually real. And lastly wander over to Buckingham Palace and have tea and crumpets with the Queen, if you can catch her as she spends most of her time in Scotland.
