The Legends of Rock aka Leyendas del Rock festival in Spain

The Legends of Rock aka Leyendas del Rock festival is a Villena municipality event. Some of the most eminent musicians of the world are associated with this hard rock festival.
A few “Legends of Rock” include Jupiter, Amorphis, Freedom Call, Powerwolf, Nightwish, Picture, Sonata Arctica, Azahara, Scar Symmetry, Sepultura, Ed guy, Tank, Xandria, Turisas, Van Canto, Warlock, Watain, Tierra Santa, Within Temptation, Gamma Ray, Wind Rose and many more.
Around 20,000 people gather to witness the rock-out of the year in Spain – and the festival just gets better and bigger every time.

Your experience at Legends of Rock
All kinds of genres under the house of rock are entertained at this legendary event – from classic rock to progressive metal, thrash metal, gothic metal, soul, symphonic metal, death metal, black metal, black thrash, folk, electronica, groove metal, melodic metal-core neo-classical metal and much more.
There are no restrictions to attend the festival. Even kids can attend the festival with their guardian. In addition, people will disabilities are facilitated so they can experience the magic of rock to their heart’s content. The organizers have built a wheelchair ramp, raising in front of the stage so they can enjoy the festival the same as everyone else.
To attend the festival you have to purchase a ticket online from their official website and it cost around 80 Euro. However, kids under 13 can enter the festival for free.
The tickets bought online can be redeemed for the festival wristbands at the entrance counter of the festival ticket office. By redeeming the wristband, you can enter and exit the festival at any time.
There are a number of food and drink stalls in the premises of the festival. You can pay with festival tokens or coins to snack out in between rocking out.

The festival takes place at Ctra. Biar, 1, 03400 Villena, Alicante, Spain.
How to get around Villena
People attending Legends of Rock Festival are advised to live in Biar as it a lovely village and it hardly takes 15 minutes from Biar to Villena (around 9 km).
You can opt for the option of rideshare as it is the cheapest way to reach Villena from Biar and cost you around $2. However, reaching by bus will also cost you the same.
The Taxi system is quite efficient in Biar. You have the option of a taxi as well, it takes 11 minutes and cost around $15 but it is the quickest way to reach Villena and it runs 24-hours.
Where to stay in Villena
When you are attending the Legends of Rock festival, you can stay in the tents offered by the festival organizers. These tents are no less than a studio room. Well equipped with toilets, lighting, and showers along with bars and food stalls.
The range of tents varies upon the standard.
You can save €3 by booking online, However, if you wish to book them onsite it will cost you €8. People who want their tents in the shaded area are advised to pay €15.

Things to do in Villena, Alicante
You simply must pay a visit to the most famous historical monument in the town named Biar Castle. The Snow Well is one incredible sight that should be on your list when you visit Biar.
The Ethnographic museum is a must as well. The museum proudly showcases the ceramics and pottery traditions of the town. As for food, you will fall in love with the traditional Spanish dish called Paella. The dish is made of rabbit or chicken along with the essence of saffron, butter beans and runner beans.
