Latitude Festival 2023: From the glamour of cabaret to the freshest new music

The Latitude Festival in the UK has a knack for bringing all sorts of entertainment to the table and providing something for adults, children, teens, and students. A huge range of music is on offer at the festival starting with pop, jazz, classical, and rock all the way to DJ sets and rap. The set up for Latitude consists of over 17 separate areas each offering a different range of entertainment and performances.

The BBC is heavily involved with the festival and has two stages, one of which provides the latest and newest twists from renowned artists and the other offers a blend of classical, jazz, world, folk, and country. The Sunrise arena is a creative set up in the woods where throughout the day you can listen to the futures hottest musicians. During the evening the Sunrise arena is illuminated and transformed into an all night long woodland rave. Latitude emanates its passion for the performing arts and has stages dedicated to cabaret and some of the UK’s leading dance companies.

The music and film arena is where you can witness the latest film screenings and get a peek into what’s to come in the film industry. Harry Hill and Bridget Christie have headlined Latitudes Comedy arena in the past where a lot of local comedians also perform. The Speakeasy section of the festival is where you can find award-winning poets, authors, and writers all there to share their latest content and offer advice for the world of literature.

‘Where music, literature, theatre, and dance come together to inspire at Latitude’.

Latitude is a family-friendly festival and has sections for both children and teens offering a range of activities to release their inner creativity. The kids section holds a children’s disco along with pond dipping, pizza making, star gazing, and much more. Teens can expect to expand their skills and dive into the production process of films, enhance their acting skills, learn about technology, and take part in fashion competitions and styling workshops.

Teachers are invited to bring along students for tips and performances from some of the most respected theatre companies, dancers, writers, film production companies, and visual artists. Latitude offers a range of talent from across the spectrum and encourages everyone to get involved.
