Las Rageous 2019: Sin City’s Premier Rock And Metal Festival

Las Rageous Music Festival is returning to Las Vegas this October for the third year in a row. Promising two days of tough riffing carnage, the hardest bands will take on the streets of Downtown Las Vegas from October 18-19. With the previous edition welcoming over 20,000 visitors from all over the world, Las Rageous 2019 will be two days of pure havoc.

Previous editions of Las Rageous have featured a number of world famous acts; including A Day To Remember, Underoath, Five Finger Death Punch and Hollywood Undead. This year, Las Rageous is returning to the Downtown Las Vegas Events Centre and promises to bring an absolutely stacked lineup.

How to get around Las Vegas

Getting around Las Vegas is extremely easy as the main part of the city is quite small. The nearest airport is Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, located only minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Visitors can travel from the airport to the strip via shuttles or various rideshare options. 

There are three main ways to get around Las Vegas; monorail, bus and car. The Las Vegas Monorail serves seven points on the Las Vegas strip, stopping at the MGM Grand, Bally’s/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah’s/The LINQ, the Las Vegas Convention Centre, Westgate and the SLS Las Vegas. A single ride is $5, day passes are $13 and a number of multi-day passes are also available. 

The most popular way to get around The Strip as well as to and from Downtown Las Vegas is The Deuce; the city’s public transport service. Buses operate throughout the city; with two specific routes passing through The Strip and Downtown areas. The Deuce bus on the strip stops at almost every property on the strip; while the SDX Strip and Downtown Express has limited stops. Passes start at $6 for a two-hour pass, $8 for a 24-hour pass and $20 for a three-day pass. The Deuce is also the cheapest way to travel between The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas. 

Finally, Taxi’s and rideshare options are popular among visitors. Taxis are the main form of transportation in Las Vegas and there Is an abundance of them at every hotel and venue. Ride-sharing options such as Uber and Lyft are also available throughout Las Vegas and offer a cheaper alternative to Taxis. One thing to note is Taxis cannot be hailed on the street/strip and can only pick up/drop off at designated areas; usually near the main entrance of the hotels.

Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas with Fremont St nearby, there are many accommodation options for visitors attending Las Rageous. Popular nearby hotels include The D Las Vegas, Four Queens, Golden Nugget and Fremont Hotel & Casino; which are all within walking distance of the event. Downtown Las Vegas is also to home to a number of affordable options such as the Las Vegas Hostel. Airbnb and other rental options are also available in and around the Downtown area. Alternatively, visitors can also stay at one of the many world famous hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and travel to and from the downtown area via public transport during the event. 

Things to do in Las Vegas

The city of Las Vegas offers an endless range of things to see, do and experience for visitors of all ages. The Strip features some of the world’s largest and most famous luxury hotels and casinos; as well as plenty of shopping options ranging from affordable souvenirs to luxury and designer brands. Las Vegas is also the home to a number of world-renowned Cirque Du Soleil shows, including O, Mystére, Michael Jackson’s ONE and The Beatles LOVE. You can also find a number of similar circus productions and popular shows along the strip such as Absinthe and Le Reve. A number of hotels such as New York New York and The Stratosphere also offer a number of thrill rides. The Bellagio and The Mirage also showcase jaw-dropping free fountain shows and volcano shows each night.

Downtown Las Vegas also offers a number of activities and attractions. The Fremont Street Experience, located at Fremont Street, is a 24-hour street featuring malls, casinos, restaurants and a range of free entertainment; umbrellaed under a LED canopy. The canopy runs over the entire street and ‘Viva Vision’ light shows run every hour from 6 pm to 1 am each night. Fremont Street is also home to the Slotzilla Zip Line; a large Zip Line that takes adventure seekers to new heights. You can take a ride on the Zipline, which is seven storeys up and 2 blocks long for $25; or opt for the Zoomline, which is 11 storeys up, 5 blocks long and lets rides fly ‘superhero style’. Other popular downtown attractions include the Neon Museum, The Mob Museum and the Container Park.
