Hunter Valley Ultra 2019: Are you ready to take the challenge?

A brand new running festival is heading to NSW’s Hunter Region this winter. The very first running of Hunter Valley Ultra will take place on June 21 and 22 and will be one of the many must-do events on this year’s trail calendar. Hosted by The Motiv Australia, the Pont3 portfolio includes a range of other running events such as Blackmores Sydney Running Festival, Tasmanian Running Festival and The Coastal Ascent. The exceptional trail running experience is the perfect activity for the whole family to enjoy.

The Hunter Valley Ultra features a number of races fit for all ages and abilities. The 12km and 30km Ultra Course is open to those aged 16 and older; while the ultimate 60km and 102km Ultra Course is open to those 18 and older. Where to view Hunter Valley Ultra 2019

Hunter Valley Ultra takes place at Drayton’s Winery in the Hunter Region of NSW. (555 Oakey Creek Rd, Pokolbin NSW 2320). 

How to get around Pokolbin

Located just over two hours north of Sydney, Pokolbin is easily accessible by car as well as public transport. Parking is available throughout the event but is only available to those with pre-paid parking passes. Pre-paid parking is available at Drayton’s Winery for $20 per day or $30 for two days.

Visitors are highly encouraged to utilise the free shuttle service throughout the event. Shuttles will operate over the course of the weekend between Race HQ (Drayton’s Winery), Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley and Cessnock city Centre. Buses operate every 15-20 minutes; with extra services running in the two hours leading up to the start of each race.

There are a number of accomodation options available in Pokolbin and the Hunter Valley area. Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley is the official accomodation partner for the 2019 event.
