Groove Island 2019: An Immersive Dance Music Experience On Catalina Island

From the creators of Groove Cruise, Groove Island is a brand new immersive dance music experience on Santa Catalina Island; just off the west coast of the United States. After creating dance music events at sea for over a decade, this festival will mark the very first land event run by Whet Travel and Groove Cruise. The highly anticipated event will transform the picture-perfect Catalina Island into an all-encompassing celebration of life and dance music.

Groove Island Lineup 2019

The festival features a world-class lineup filled with headliners, who will perform across unique hosted stages. More than 40 music artists from multiple genres, including the world’s top artists, will perform throughout the event. The stages will be hosted by Deep House Brunch, Deep Space, DJ Mag, Heldeep, Incorrect, Random Nights, Toolroom and Wicked Paradise. Headlining acts include Andrew Rayel, Chus & Ceballos, Mark Knight, Oliver Heldens, Sam Feldt and Shiba San. Other popular acts include Anthony Attalla, Dillon Nathaniel, Mikey Lion, Sage Armstrong and more.

The festival takes place at Santa Catalina Island in California. You can find the event at 150 Metropole Ave, Avalon, California 90704. 

How to get around Santa Catalina Island

Located just outside Los Angeles on the Island of Santa Catalina, Groove Island is easily accessible by public transport and services organised directly through the festival. The nearest major Airport is Los Angeles International Airport. Upon arrival, aerial services are available from Long Beach, San Pedro, Burbank and John Wayne airports.

You can also take the ferry from the four mainland ports in California; San Pedro, Long Beach, Newport Beach and Dana Point. The journey takes approximately one hour by boat, and 15 minutes by helicopter.

Once you arrive on the island, everything is accessible by foot. Taxis and shuttle buses will also be available. You can also rent bicycles or golf carts to get around the island.
