Findings Festival 2019: The Coolest Summer Ending 

Findings Festival is an annual electronic music festival that takes place in Oslo, Norway. Only in its third year, the two-day event has already grown to become one of the biggest festivals in the city. The festival regularly welcomes some of the biggest and best names in EDM, house, techno and more; combined with a jaw-dropping production of light shows and fireworks displays.

The third annual edition of Findings Festival will welcome a wide variety of popular local and international names. Headlining the event will be Norweigan DJ and producer Kygo, and Dutch EDM prodigy Martin Garrix. Other popular acts include Lil Uzi Vert, Steve Aoki, Jax Jones, Jess Glynne, Tove Lo, Tyga and The Him.

How to get around Oslo

The nearest major airport is Oslo Airport, located around 45km north of the city centre. You can travel between the airport and city centre via ‘Flytoget’, an express shuttle train. The train runs every 10 minutes from 5.35 am to 12.35 am and costs around $20.

When getting around the city, Oslo offers a convenient public transport system made up of buses, trams, ferries, subways and local trains. Fares start at around $5 and 24 hour, 7 day, 30 day and 365-day travel passes are also available to purchase. You can also purchase the Oslo Pass, which grants you unlimited free travel within Zones 1 and 2 in the city; as well as access to the Bygdøy Museum Ferry. 

To get to and from the festival, you can take tram lines 17 or 18 to ‘Bislett’. You can also take bus routes 18N and 21, stopping directly outside the stadium.

Things to do in Oslo

The city of Oslo features a wide range of things to see and do. Known for it’s parks and gardens, you can find a number of popular outdoor recreational areas. One of the main outdoor attractions is Vigeland Park; a large park featuring a sculpture park, museums, art exhibitions, gardens and more. The sculpture park alone claims the title as the world’s largest sculpture park, featuring more than 200 pieces by famous Norwegian sculpture Gustav Vigeland.

You can also find a wide range of popular museums, including the Viking Ship Museum, The Fram Museum, The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History and the Kon-Tiki Museum. Other popular attractions include The Royal Palace, the Oslo Cathedral and the Oslo Opera House. Located just outside the city centre, you can also find Bygdøy, a peninsula popular for it’s beaches, hiking trails and museums.
