The single day festival located in Eastern Holland has remained as one of the country’s most popular events for over a decade. Welcoming over 25,000 visitors to the festival each year, previous editions have been centred around ‘Hollywood’, ‘Fairytales’ and ‘The Roman Empire’. The 2019 edition will explore the theme of ‘The Zoo’ and open the gates to eight beautiful animal enclosures, spread along the lake of Berendonck.

Emporium Festival is one of many events in the Netherlands that hosts a unique lineup each year. The impressive bill of talent is made up of primarily Dutch artists, and stages are divided according to popular Dutch Genres. The main stage regularly hosts the likes of Showtek, Lucas & Steve and Mike Williams to name a few. The Dutch love their harder styles and there are four stages dedicated exclusively to hardstyle, hardcore, raw style and free style. Hardstyle favourites such as Wildstylez, Noisecontrollers, Headhunterz are among many talented names. With the Netherlands pumping out pure talent on the daily, you can expect nothing but the biggest and best names the country has to offer.
Emporium Festival takes place at Berendonck Recreational Park, in Wijchen, Netherlands (Weg door Berendonck, Wijchen, Netherlands).
The town of Wijchen is located in the eastern Dutch city of Nijmegen. The nearest major airport is Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, which is approximately 90 minutes away. Eindhoven Airport, which is approximately an hour away, also regularly operates most budget airlines. Travelling throughout the Netherlands is quick, easy and affordable, with many public transport options available. The most popular form of intercity travel is by train. Various bus services are also available as a cheaper alternative.
Emporium festival can be easily accessed by both car and public transport. Parking is available at the venue, however, there are many road closures in the area throughout the event. The nearest train station is Nijmegen Dukenburg Station, where festival shuttles will frequently travel to and from the event. Shuttles run from 11:00h to 01:00h and you can purchase tickets at the bus stop on the day.

A number of affordable accommodation options are available in the city of Nijmegen. Many hostels and hotels are located within the city centre and are a short walk from the main train station. Similarly, nearby Airbnb options are also available and you can explore the cheapest options below.
Due to the short duration of the event, visitors often travel to Wijchen for the day from neighbouring cities. Nearby major cities include Amsterdam, Arnhem and Eindhoven. If you are travelling from neighbouring cities or countries, local accommodation may not be necessary.
Aside from Emporium, you can enjoy many other activities and attractions in Wijchen as well as Nijmegen. Berendonck Recreational Park is home to many exciting recreational activities including water skiing and wake boarding. You can also enjoy historical locations such as the Stitching Museum and the 14th century castle ‘Kasteel van Wijchen’ during your visit to Wijchen.
Nijmegen offers many popular museums such as the futuristic ‘Valkhof Museum’ and the ‘muZIEum’ dedicated to exploring visual impairment. You can also enjoy historical parks and landmarks such as ‘Kroenburgerpark’, ‘Valkhof Park’ and Saint Stephen’s church free of charge.
