Electrisize 2019: 10 Years, One Family

Electrisize festival is celebrating its anniversary this summer! The biggest birthday party between Cologne, Aachen and Mönchengladbach is taking place in Erkelenz, Germany. Originating as a small summer party ten years ago, Electrisize has grown to become the largest and most colourful festival in western Germany!

Electrisize Lineup 2019

The 10-year anniversary edition of Electrisize will welcome more than 100 artists across six stages. The festival will showcase artists from a wide spectrum of genres, including house, electro, hardstyle, techno and more. This year’s lineup highlights include Finch Asocial, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Format:B, Sefa, Nura, Jebroer, Da Tweekaz, Lari Luke and more.

How to get around Erkelenz

The nearest major airport is Dusseldorf International Airport, located approximately 40 minutes northeast of Erkelenz. Upon arrival, the city can be reached by train. Long distance buses are also available from most major cities throughout Germany and neighbouring countries.

If you are driving to the festival, you can follow the signs towards ‘P1’. Parking tickets must be purchased online in advance. Parking is also available bikes, tandems and even horses! If you are travelling by public transport, you can take the train to Erkelenz Station, where free shuttle buses will transfer visitors between the station and festival grounds throughout the weekend. 

Where to stay for Electrisize

Electrisize offers ELECTRICTY, the official festival campground. The campground is located next to the festival area and also features its own stage with an exclusive opening party. Campers can enjoy Comfort Camping at standard prices; featuring free showers and toilets, a premium shower area, fortified paths, 24 reception, hammock village and more.

You can bring your own tent and camping supplies, purchase everything on site at the camping store or pre-book a pre-setup tent. This year, the campground will also feature a silent disco and a beauty salon!

Things to do in Erkelenz

There are a number of things to see and do in Ereklenz and the surrounding areas. One of the most popular attractions is Niers, a river that runs through Germany and the Netherlands; featuring a white castle, hiking trails and more. Nearby in Jüchen, you can find the Jackerath Garzweiler lookout and skywalk; an observation deck offering panoramic views.

You can also find Aussichtspunkt Tagebau Garzweiler, another popular vantage point. If you are travelling from nearby major cities such as Dusseldorf or Cologne, you can find countless activities and attractions throughout the main city centres.
