The four-day event features over 175 artists across four stages, as well as helicopter tours, zip lines, canoe trips, art displays, workshops and more. Established in 2011, the local independently operated and funded music festival is one of only a few remaining in the US, and is returning for a massive 8th annual edition.

This year’s lineup features an absolutely stacked list of talent. Popular acts include Alison Wonderland, Big Gigantic, Bonnie X Clyde, Kayzo, RL Grime and Zomboy. The festival will also feature a Wakaan Takeover on Thursday, and Never Say Die Stage host on Saturday.
Dancefestopia takes place in Emerald City, just outside Kansas City, Missouri. You can find the event at 7095 West 399thStreet, La Cygne, Kansas 66040.
The nearest airport is Kansas City International Airport, located 15 miles northwest of downtown Kansas City. The Kansas City Transport Authority offers over 78 bus routes across the city, with express and rapid services.
Official festival transfers can be booked in advance directly through the festival. Coach transfers between Kansas City Airport and Dancfestopia are available, starting at $12 for a one-way transfer, and $24 for a roundtrip transfer. Private transfers are also available, starting at $220 for a single journey for up to three people.
Parking is also available at the festival for visitors driving to the event. Parking starts at $35 per vehicle for the duration of the event, with a limited amount of premium spots also available for $55. You can purchase parking passes on site (cash only).
Dancefestopia offers campgrounds located directly next to the festival. The GA campgrounds will be equipped with port-o-potties and water stations, as well as 24-hour security, ATM’s and vendors. Visitors can upgrade their camping passes to the ‘Relaxation Station’, which features showers, charging stations, flushable bathrooms, running water and beds.
A number of official hotels are also available nearby. Popular options include the Hampton Inn Kansas City/Overland Park and Hotel Indigo Kansas City Downtown. Kansas City features a range of things to do. There are a number of popular museums, such as the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Harry S Truman Library and Museum and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. The Kansas City Zoo is also a popular attraction, featuring wildlife habitats and interactive exhibits.
The Worlds Of Fun theme park boasts a range of rollercoasters, thrill rides, live entertainment and more. One of the most popular areas in the city is Crown Center, a shopping and entertainment district. You can find the Namesake Mall and ice rink, Coterie Theatre, Museums and more in this district.
