Château Perché Festival 2019: An invitation to enjoy art and music in a colourful freedom place

46.639508, 3.288019. ? Neither the golden ratio number, nor Pi, but simply the coordinates of a unique place, where a unique event will happen. The Festival Château Perché will reside at the Avrilly’s castle in the middle of France on July 25 – 28, 2019. There you can expect a diverse and thorough line-up. Get your ears ready for various melodies leading you to trance, coming from more than 10 stages.

Get your eyes ready,  you will constantly witness breathtaking decoration and a stunning shining crowd thanks to our two costume themes “La Belle Epoque” and “Tribute to Charles Freger’s Photography”. More than 200 artists will be performing in and around castle buildings, even on water… This place will be a colourful, insane and enchanting playground for everyone to forget everything and experience something that one will never forget.

It will be a place out of time, out of space, where people will gather in unity to create, observe, experience moments leading to joy and trance. This year, the 6th edition of Château Perché will welcome more than 300 artists, performers, musicians, painters, DJs and more for 72 hours of expression. Performing across 11 music stages, the likes of DJ Hemisphere, Oslm, Oxyz, Solitary Shell, Perspicacius, Nacked Jacket and more will showcase their musical talent. There will also me a variety of live performances from  Duo Poesik, Ghost In The Chill, 4bstr4ck3r, MAZE, Curieux and more. In addition to the music, there will also be an immersive workshop area, which will be present with a wide range of activities for visitors to dress up, meet others, have fun and express themselves. 

Where to view Château Perché Festival 2019

The festival is located at the Château d’Avrilly, located in the city of Trévol, Alliers, central region of France. Once there, you will be entering a castle domain, containing buildings from the 15th and 19th century with horses stable, a water canal, a beautiful forest and you will be able to see incredibly well-decorated stages, cool stands to buy original stuff, workshops, and most importantly a various offer of music. Jugglers, Dancers, Crazy performers, occult magic installers, will have the mission to multiply the size of the party, and surprises will come!

How to get to Château Perché Festival 2019

There will be festival shuttles going from Paris directly from the castle, but also from the smaller cities of the region Moulins and Auvergne if you are travelling around there.

Otherwise, the festival is also, of course, accessible by car, and the third biggest city of France, Lyon with its convenient airport, is also not far from there.

Where to stay for Château Perché Festival 2019

The festival has a free camping site, where everybody can bring his tent and camp there with other festival goers. Some tipis are also available for people who do not want to bring a tent.

Things to do in the area

The nearby Moulins with its beautiful old town and Vichy, famous for its water and baths are worth to see. A bit more in the South, the volcanos of Auvergne are a unique natural area, with its enormous national park containing the only millions of years old extinct volcanos that you can find in France.
