Bumbershoot 2019: The Umbrella For All of the Arts

Coming up on its 50th year anniversary, Bumbershoot has become the cornerstone of Seattle’s cultural events. Over 85,000 people will flock to the Seattle Center to attend a unique contemporary festival that has climbed the ranks of America’s best entertainment. The quirky name takes meaning from the word “umbrella” matching a perfect fit for the region’s weather pattern. Bumbershoot takes place every Labor Day Weekend at the Seattle Center just north of Belltown. The 74-acre venue is the center of Seattle’s educational, entertainment and tourism industries.
