The largest out-door festival in South-East Asia – the Big Mountain Music Festival is a new and exciting experience.

Big Mountain Music Festival Presented by Pepsi, this two-day festival has over 200 acts and 9 stages. Mostly featuring Thai artists and musicians like Bodyslam, Chiang Mai, and Singto Numchok, the festival also focuses on numerous genres like Thailand’s Luk-Thung country music, Moh-Lam folk songs, but it also features more modern genres including rock, pop, indie, and electronic.

In more recent years, there have been artists from the US, Japan and Europe. Each stage is built up and decorated according to different themes. While this event is mostly catered to people from Thailand, the events popularity is growing amongst travelers – especially backpackers. For two unforgettable days and nights there is an unending stream of music, dancing, people, food and drink. The festival always takes place with massive, jaw dropping mountains as the back drop.

How to get around Phetchaburi

Once in Phetchaburi for the festival – make time do things either before or after. You don’t want to miss out on this beautiful area. There are also really cool temples to visit like Wat Mahathat Worawihan, Wat Koi, Wat Kamphaeng Laeng, Saiyat Buddhist Temple and many more.
