BERGFESTival 2023 in Saalbach Hinterglemm will be insane!
The idea of organizing a winter festival in the Alps has meanwhile become established as a varied and original event. The winter is rocking, so much is clear. And in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria at the BERGFESTival is only right.
We are already looking forward to great bands like Wanda und Clueso and to a snowy Saalbach Hinterglemm.
Saalbach Hinterglemm
The festival village, Saalbach Hinterglemm, is located 190 km from Munich and 70 km from Salzburg. The quiet village offers exactly what we were looking for: peace and quiet! At least on all other weekends!
The BERGFESTival looks different. Guaranteed! In the middle of the village stands the large main stage and when the first drum echoes through the valley, the last thing you know is it’s time for BERGFESTival!
Where to stay in Saalbach Hinterglemm
You can leave your tent in the basement until summer. This is quickly replaced by a warm accommodation and why for a change not even with its own bathroom!
Saalbach Hinterglemm has a great number of excellent hotels, boarding houses, apartments as well as youth hostels. There is easy accommodation for every taste and budget.
How to get to Saalbach
If you are traveling in your own car, you can park comfortably in the hotel parking lots and it does not need to move a meter more. Everything is within walking distance and between the districts of Saalbach and Hinterglemm, free shuttle buses are available day and night. Do not drink and drive!
Skiing and Snowboarding
In Saalbach Hinterglemm, you can go on more than 200km perfectly prepared pistes. In the ski passes the ride to the summit stage (Saturday) is included. And what would the mountains be without a gentile hut? On the Panorama Alm or the Maisalm.

The next BERFESTival will be hitting the slopes on December 8-9, 2023.
