Barrakud regularly hosts some of the hottest techno artists in the scene. Previous editions have been headlined by Paul Kalkbrenner, Claptone, Ben Klock and Boys Noize. The likes of Sonny Fodera, Mat.Joe and Marcel Dettmann also regularly perform at the week long techno paradise.

Barrakud takes place in multiple clubs along the world famous Zrce Beach in Novalja, Croatia. (Zrce, 53291, Novalja, Croatia).
The town of Novalja is located on the central Croatian island of Pag. The nearest major cities are Zadar and Split, both of which have airports operating regular local and international flights. Comfortable and affordable bus services also operate throughout Croatia and offer transport to Novalja from most major cities.
Getting around Novalja is quick and easy and everything is within walking distance. Public buses operate frequently throughout the entire event between Zrce Beach and the city centre. You can purchase single or consecutive day shuttle passes during the event, which grants unlimited access to the public bus between the beach and city.
Rental options are also available throughout the city and small vehicles such as scooters, ATV’s and buggies are available for 24 hour periods. At only a couple of dollars per day, you can have your own personal transportation and freedom to explore the beautiful island.
There are many accomodation options available in the city of Novalja. Many locals open up their homes during the festival season and rent out their rooms or entire houses to visitors. Airbnb and apartment rentals are the most popular option, particularly for large groups, as they offer a cheap and authentic local experience. A number of hostels are also available around the city for solo and budget travellers. You can explore some of the best affordable options below.
There are plenty of things to see and do in Novalja during your visit to Barrakud. Aside from dancing from dusk til dawn, you can jump on one of the official boat parties throughout the day and get a taste of the private yacht life! A number of beach and pool parties are also available if you prefer to stay on dry land.
Zrce beach boasts a stunning 2km strip of clear waters. The world famous pebble beach also offers a range of water activities. You can rent jet skis, peddle boats kayaks and other similar devices for only a couple of dollars. Banana boats, tubing and parasailing are also available along the beach. A number of other smaller beaches and public baths can be found in and around Novalja, if you are looking for a more exclusive environment.
Novalja is home to a range of amazing local restaurants and bars at ridiculously affordable prices. Fresh seafood and meat platters are the popular choice in this coastal town, but vegetarian options and a range of traditional desserts are also available.
