Combine 24-hour music schedules with live acts and DJ’s from all around the world and you have yourself one heck of a party on the shores of Lake Balaton in Hungary. The event that sets new attendance records every year, Balaton attracts the biggest music acts from around the world such as last year’s Big Sean, TS5, The Chainsmokers and Rita Ora and DJ’s such as David Guetta and DJ Snake to play shore side for festival fans all day and all night long during the 5-day event.
The Clubs On the Beach is a new favorite for house and techno lovers. Five Internationally renowned nightclubs/brands will arrive in Zamárdi to occupy the waterfront with their residents for an entire day. Watergate (Berlin), Rex (Paris), Fuse (Brussels), Pacha (Ibiza), and Defected (London), have all accepted invitations to host for fans on the lake.

Take a boat out to the middle of the lake and party with 300 other festival goers, setting sail from Siófok’s Bahart port.
There is a lakeside carnival, water activites, Jager Arena, Bacardi Lounge, visual shows and dancers to keep everyone entertained and the festival campsite has its very own restaurants, pubs and cocktail bars!
Hungarian’s inner sea, Lake Balaton is home to picturesque landscapes surrounded by ancient fortresses, underwater cave galleries, vineyards and historic towns. The festival takes place at the town of Zamardi, right by the lake.
There are commuter bus services from Budapest Airport to Zamardi direct to the camping entrance of the festival. Plus there are direct trains every hour from Budapest-Déli railway station to Zamardi.
Ride sharing is available for festival visitors. It is a more environmentally friendly and fun than driving alone. It is about a 2 hour drive to the festival from Budapest.
There are many options for camping, campervans and luxury accomodation while at the festival.
Firstly there is basic camping, beach camping and caravan camping for all the DIY fans that want toilet and shower facilities while bringing tents and caravans. Then theres pre-pitched tents, wooden huts and pre-settled caravans waiting for visitors who don’t want the fuss of preparing their own campsite.
The “Pod Pads Village” is a quirky, boutique-camping with lots of different options to suit your personal requirements. Podpad, Luxpad, Bunkpad, Octopad, Bellepad, are all there to choose from!
Finally the “Felxotel Village” is a comfy container hotel room with nice beds and separate sanitary unit for guests. The units are lockable so you can leave your belongings safely.
The Zamárdi area also has hotels, hostels, and private accommodation options available if you don’t mind leaving the festival site each night.
On the north shore of Lake Balaton stands the oldest medieval town in the region. Tihany sits proud on the top of the peninsula that centers the entire panorama of the turquoise lake valley itself. The Baroque abbey, built on top of the old Medieval castle, is the original monastery founded by King Andrew I of Hungary. There are brick towers, a royal crypt, and hillside streets dressed in cobblestone.
Scattered over the area of Lake Balaton, are over 1,000 natural water springs that are famed for their medicinal powers. Héviz Spa is one of the most popular and offers a whole range of different treatments and programs.
