The 2022 edition of the festival included Rebelution, Atomsphere, Dirty Heads and Sean Paul. To top it off Damien Marley, Ice Cube and Sublime with Rome will headlined the Sunday bill plus heaps more!

California Roots Festival takes place at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center. You can find the event at 2004 Fairground Rd, Monterey, CA 93940.
The city of Monterey offers a number of attractions and activities. Located along the waterfront, Monterey features a number of beaches, wharves and coastal trails. Popular attractions include Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Old Fisherman’s Wharf and Del Monte Beach.
If you are traveling by car, there are also a number of things to do on the road in the surrounding areas throughout California.
Official off-site camping is available at Laguna Seca with shuttles running around the clock between the campground and festival. Three-day shuttle passes can be purchased online for $88.
Glamping is also available on-site for up to four people per spot. Each glamping pass includes a pre-setup tent, queen-sized air mattresses, power outlets, furniture and a parking spot.
There are also a range of hotel and Airbnb options available within walking distance of the venue in Monterey. Popular nearby hotels include Ramada by Wyndham Monterey and Quality Inn; both are less than 5 minutes away on foot.

The nearest airport is Monterey Regional Airport, located adjacent to the festival venue. Many local flights from within California and neighboring states operate throughout this airport. The nearest major city and airport is San Jose, located approximately an hour north of Monterey.
Car rental options are available at the airport, making it easy to travel to and around Monterey. Alternatively, ground transportation options such as Greyhound buses also travel to Monterey from most nearby major cities.
When traveling around Monterey, the easiest way to get around is by bus. Bus routes 11, 18 and 94 travel to and from the festival grounds. Parking is also available at Monterey Peninsula College, with free shuttles available from the parking lot to the festival.
Parking passes are available online starting at $24 for a Friday pass, $35 for Saturday or Sunday passes and $82 for three day passes.
The next annual edition of the California Roots Festival will take place on May 25-28, 2023.
