51st State Festival 2019: 5th Birthday Celebration

Following a massively successfully sold out edition in 2018, 51st State Festival returns to the UK to celebrate its 5th birthday and biggest event to date! The annual music festival takes place in the heart of London, welcoming more than 100 artists across 7 different stages. Celebrating the roots of house music, 51st State Festival pulls together the threads of the influential sound, exploring everything from classic house to tech house, afro, garage, disco, soul and more.

51st State Lineup 2019

The fifth edition of 51st State Festival will welcome a wide variety of artists from multiple genres; including house, garage, soul, disco, Caribbean sounds and more. The festival will showcase a huge list of live performances from popular names including Tanya Stephens, Crystal Waters, Crazy P Soundsystem, Melba Moore, Stylo G and more. Other popular acts include Aitch B, DJ Bigger, Lady T, Masterstepz, M-A-X and more.

How to get around London

London has a number of nearby airports, giving visitors plenty of options to fly into. The nearest airports include London City Airport, London Heathrow Airport, London Gatwick Airport and London Luton Airport. Trains and buses connect the airports to the heart of the city. London features one of the largest urban transport networks in the world; consisting of buses, the underground, light rail, trains, trams, boats and more! 

The festival is easily accessible by both car and public transport; however, it is advised to take public transport as parking is limited. If you are driving, there is a pre-paid car park with limited spaces, located a 20-minute walk to the festival site.

If you are travelling via public transport, you can take the underground on the Piccadilly line towards Cockfosters, stopping at Cockfosters. Attendees attempting to get off at Oakwood Station will be asked to re-board the train and get off at Cockfosters. A number of buses will also operate throughout the Cockfosters area during the event.

Nearby hotels include Brooklyn House and West Lodge Park Hotel; both located approximately 30-minutes to the festival grounds on foot.

Things to do in London

London is also home to Hyde Park, a world-famous park located in central London, featuring acres of greenery, fountains, boating, swimming and more.

For breathtaking views over the city, you can explore The Shard; a 306m-high glass skyscraper with rooftop restaurants and viewing platforms. You can also catch some epic views of London’s main attractions on the Coca-Cola London Eye, the iconic riverside observation wheel. You can also combine your visit to the London Eye with a number of nearby experiences and attractions. Tickets for the London Eye can be purchased in a combo with a Big Bus tour pass or entry to Madame Tussauds, Sea Life, The London Dungeon or Shrek’s Adventure.
